Reprocessing data

This guide aims to provide guidance on how retroactive data processing works in BotCity Insights. Below, we outline what needs to be done and how to follow each step of the process.

What We Need to Know

  • Start date for reprocessing
We need to know from which date the data should be reprocessed. This information is essential to understand the scope.

  • Filling in financial data
Make sure the financial data is up to date on the Insights dashboard. Without this, the reprocessing will not be effective.

  • Reporting in finish task
Ensure the automations are correctly reporting the finish task event. This is important so that the data appears accurately. The fields reported in the finish task are:

    • totalItems: total number of items in that task
    • processedItems: number of items successfully processed
    • failedItems: number of failed items
See how to report it here.

Types of Automation and How to Proceed

Depending on how the automation works, the process may vary slightly:

  • Automation that processes only 1 item per task
Each task logs only one item as processed and total — in this case, we can proceed directly with reprocessing.

  • Automation that processes multiple items per task
In this case, we need more detailed information:

    • Total number of items per task
    • Number of items successfully processed per task
    • Total number of failed items per task

When this is the case, a spreadsheet will be sent for you to fill in with this information.

Filling Out the Spreadsheet (When Applicable)

Here are some important rules for filling out the spreadsheet:

  • Only edit the last 3 columns:

    • totalItems: total number of items in that task
    • processedItems: number of items successfully processed
    • failedItems: number of failed items
  • Do not change the column order or names.

  • If a task already has reported values, it’s okay to keep them.
The important thing is to correctly fill in the ones that are blank or incomplete.

Warning

Even with the spreadsheet filled out, reprocessing can only be carried out if the financial data for the automations is properly registered in Insights. So always make sure this is up to date before requesting the process. Click here to learn how.

Requesting the Reprocessing

To start the reprocessing procedure, it is necessary to open a support ticket with BotCity.

Info

Once all the required information has been submitted, there is a maximum of 10 calendar days to complete the reprocessing.
