Manager Role and New Workspace Selector on the Platform¶

In this release, we are introducing two new features to our users: the new Manager role and the new workspace selector.

Below, we will explain a bit more about these features.

Manager Role¶

The Manager role is the new role available for users within the BotCity platform. With this role, the user has access to all functionalities of Orchestrator and Insights, being able to manage resources and Automations, but with some limitations in managing the Organization.

The limitations of the Manager role are as follows:

Cannot invite users.
Cannot delete/revoke user access.
Cannot delete a workspace.

Adding a User with the Manager Role¶

To add a user with the Manager role to your Organization, follow these steps:

Access the Home menu
Click the Invite new users button
Fill in the email and select the Manager role from the list
Click Send Invites

If you want to change the role of an existing user on the platform to Manager, follow these steps:

Click the profile icon
Click Organization
Click the Users and Groups item in the side menu
Click the name of the user to be edited
In the Information tab, in the Role field, select the user's role

New Workspace Selector¶

In our continuous effort to improve our products and listen to our users, we have implemented the new Workspace selector. Now, finding a Workspace is easier!

The new selector includes identification tags that indicate the type of Workspace a user is in. These tags show whether the user is in a production, development, validation, community, or trial Workspace. This helps users quickly identify the resources and Automations linked to each Workspace.

Additionally, it is now possible to locate a Workspace using the search bar in the list by entering the name or part of the name of a Workspace. This helps users in companies with many Workspaces navigate more quickly and efficiently.
