Resource Allocation

Resource Allocation shows how the Runners and automations contracted by the workspace are distributed across repositories. Use this screen to track the execution capacity of each business area or cost center.

View the allocation

Access Organization > Resource Allocation. At the top of the screen, you find the repository search field, the Export button and the cards with the plan totals:

  • Total contracted runners: total number of Runners contracted by the workspace.
  • Total contracted automations: total number of automations contracted by the workspace.

Below, the table shows one row per repository, with the following columns:

  • Repository: name of the repository, as a link to its information.
  • Linked runners: number of Runners linked to the repository.
  • Automations: number of automations in the repository.
  • Percentage of linked runners: Runners linked to the repository divided by the total of contracted Runners.
  • Percentage of linked automations: automations in the repository divided by the total of contracted automations.

Adjust the distribution

To change which Runners serve each repository, edit the Runners attached to the repository or the repositories linked to the Runner.

Sum of Runner percentages above 100%

A Runner can be linked to more than one repository and, in this case, it is counted in each of them. That is why the sum of the percentages of linked Runners can exceed 100%.

Each automation belongs to a single repository, so the sum of the automation percentages does not exceed 100%.

Calculation example

A workspace contracts 10 Runners. The Finance repository has 4 exclusive Runners and the Logistics repository has 3 exclusive Runners. The other 3 Runners are shared between the two repositories.

  • Finance: 7 linked Runners, 70% of the contracted Runners.
  • Logistics: 6 linked Runners, 60% of the contracted Runners.

The sum of the percentages is 130%, because the 3 shared Runners are counted in both repositories.
