Operations Center

Go to Operations Center

The Operations Center is the BotCity Orchestrator module dedicated to the operational management of automations. It brings together, on a single screen, the tactical data you need to monitor, operate, and maintain your day-to-day automation operation.

With the Operations Center, you no longer need to switch between modules to understand what's happening with your automations. Everything relevant to those who operate and maintain the automation is accessible in one place, from real-time status to historical analysis of failures, capacity, and performance.

Overview

The Operations Center is divided into five tabs, each with a specific focus:

  • Live Operation: Current state of the operation over the last 60 minutes, presented in summary cards.
    • Scheduled tasks
    • Task processing
    • Alerts
    • Errors
    • Datapool
    • Status Runner
  • Automations: Historical performance of automations.
    • Scheduled tasks
    • Alerts
    • Errors
    • Tasks per automation
    • Volume per repository
    • Task evolution over the period
    • Total tasks
    • Tasks per Runner
  • Efficiency: Historical view of the operation's efficiency.
    • Success items
    • Total failures per automation
    • Automations with the most consecutive failures
    • Errors per automation
    • Alerts per automation
    • Error items per datapool
  • Capacity: Infrastructure usage over time.
    • Average tasks per day
    • Median tasks per day
    • Total Runners
    • Runners utilization by weekdays
    • Item processing with success vs error
    • Utilization vs Capacity by Runner
    • Items by Runner
  • Schedule: View of configured schedules and their execution history.

Main Benefits

  • Centralized visibility: Tactical operational data on a single screen, without needing to navigate between modules.
  • Preserved context: Period, automation, and repository filters are shared across the historical tabs, so you don't lose context while investigating an issue.
  • Agile diagnosis: Interactive elements (charts, rankings, tables) carry the current filter to the destination screen, making drill-down easier.
  • Predictable behavior: Empty states and loading errors are handled consistently throughout the screen, with the option to reload each chart individually.

When to Use the Operations Center

The Operations Center is ideal for those who operate and maintain automations on a day-to-day basis: tech leads, automation analysts, and support teams. Turn to it when you need to:

  • Monitor the operation in real time, checking Runner status, task processing, and alerts from the last 60 minutes.
  • Investigate failures and errors, identifying which automations concentrate the most consecutive failures or the highest volume of errors in a period.
  • Plan capacity, evaluating Runner utilization over time and comparing usage versus available capacity.
  • Check schedules, verifying that scheduled executions ran as expected and identifying scheduling failures.
  • Drill down into a specific issue, taking advantage of the period, automation, and repository filters shared across tabs to keep context during the investigation.
